The Loss of Ice

The medium for this artwork is acrylic paint. I got inspiration for this piece because I saw a video on the effects of climate change on wild animals. I decided to do some of my own research to see how it further affected the subject of my painting. For my process I used pink for an underpainting to emphasize my subjects. For the polar bears, I started with a dark underpainting and slowly added a lighter layer of fur.
