An Unlikely Home Honorable Mention

Urban expansion has caused animals to call strange locations "home." Here, a robin nests in a stoplight. It provides warmth for its inhabitants and its hood offers more shelter than a lonely tree in a median, but also has its fair share of threats: the cycling light that can disturb and wake up a bird and the unyielding rumblings of engines could possibly lead it to abandon its nest, and constant vehicular pollution in such close proximity is endangering to the animal.
